This page contains philosophy papers that have for one reason or another fallen by the wayside. For papers that are good, see the Showcase. The "original announcement" links, where present, go to posts on my blog announcing the posting of the paper. As a historian of philosophy, I have strong preservationist instincts, which is why I often leave things online after determining that they belong in the dustbin, but I do from time to time delete things that I consider especially amateurish or otherwise bad.
